Angels vs Detroit Tigers

Today we went to the Angels game against the Detroit Tigers with my mom and my baby sister. The stadium was giving out Mike Trout bobbleheads. In my opinion, you should take the route like this below when the stadium is giving things out.

The route in the stadium:

  1. Get in the stadium.
  2. Show the tickets to the crews.
  3. Get the giveaways from the crew. It is better if you buy more tickets because then you will have more giveaway goods.
  4. Go to a place where it isn’t crowded.
  5. Put everything in a backpack, then it would be as hard to carry around the giveaway goods and other personal things.
  6. Head to the place where you can get autographs and wait for players and coaches to come.

Detroit Tigers Starting Lineup:

  1. M. Vierling: left Field
  2. S. Torkelson: First Base
  3. K. Carpenter: Right Field
  4. M. Cabrera: Designated Hitter
  5. A. Lipcius: Third Base
  6. Z. McKinstry: Second Base
  7. J. Báez: Shortstop
  8. J. Rogers: Catcher
  9. P. Meadows: Center Field

Game Results:

Detroit Tiger vs. Los Angeles Angels

12-2

Balls and Autographs from Players and Coaches:

  • A ball from the Detroit Tigers Bench Coach, George Lombard.

Near the end of the game, a position player came and started to pitch. Usually, when position pitchers pitch they throw very slowly, normal pitchers throw around 95 miles per hour but position pitchers throw around 60-75 miles per hour.

Angels VS Orioles

On September 5th, we went to an Angels game with me, mom, and my baby sister. This was our 10th baseball game we have been gone to. I went to my usual spot, the corner of the seats in left field near the bullpen, where we could get autographs and baseballs at the Trout Farm.

Baltimore Orioles Starting Lineup:

  1. A. Rutschman: Catcher
  2. R. Mountcastle: Firstbase
  3. A. Santander: Designated Hitter
  4. A. Hays: Left Field
  5. G. Henderson: Thirdbase
  6. J. Westburg: Secondbase
  7. A. Hicks: Right Field
  8. R. McKenna: Center Field
  9. J. Mateo: Short Stop

Game Results:

Baltimore Orioles vs. Los Angeles Angels

5-4

Balls and Autographs from players and Coaches:

  • A ball from Reid Detmers that he was playing catch with.
  • An autograph on my baseball glove by the Orioles Pitching Coach, Chris Holt.
  • An autograph on my baseball by the Angels Pitcher, José Soriano
  • Three autograph on my baseball, my glove, and my sister’s headphones by the Angels Second Basemen, Brandon Drury.
  • An autogrpah on my baseball glove by the Angels Pitching Coach, Matt Wise.
  • A foul ball cought at my seat from Brandon Drury.

My favorite player on the Angels is Shohei Ohtani the reason that he is my favorite baseball player is because he can pitch and hit really good. This gives an advantage of playing time because pitchers have to rest for three to four days after pitching in a game but Shohei Ohtani can hit after pitching as a designated hitter because hit can hit good also. And my favorite player on the Orioles is Adley Rutschman this is because he is really good at catching and he can hit from both sides. Hitting from both sides is a really good advantage as a baseball player because he can hit depending on the situation, many situation can be a runner on first and want the runner to score from first by hitting to right field instead of left field.

Going to the Angels Stadium: Guardians vs Angels

On September 8, 2023, mom, baby sister and I went to the Angels ball game. This is our 10+ ball games for this season, and we are getting better at driving to the stadium, parking and getting autographs and balls. Let me share what you could do to most out of going to a ball game from my perspective.

Parking

  • Exit on Fwy 57 on Katella, take Douglass Rd to enter Angels Stadium Parking
  • Park by the “City National Grove by Anaheim” by the gate 1 ( I will explain you why park by gate 1 later)

Gate:

Use gate 1.

  • This is where they giveaway Yakult.
    • Yakult is a probiotic beverage created in Japan. They normally hand you 2 bottles, red and blue caps. But if you ask for more, they usually give them to you.
      • Ask for a FREE big A body tattoo sticker
        • Sometimes security people have it in their pocket. If not, go to the booth table by Trout Farm.

Squats and Tips

My Labor Day was one of usual day, and my mom took me to the gym. I did squats today. Beginning of joining the gym, many of my exercising “forms” are incorrect. Before I injure myself, mom got me personal trainings which is one-on-one training. Now I know what correct forms are, I see many people are using the machines and exercising in incorrect way. Let me share what I have learned some tips. Today I would like to write about squats.

Squats:

– Front Squat

– Back Squat

– Sumo Squat

– Jump Squat

Tips:

  • First, you can’t let your knees go past your toes while doing a squat.
  • Second, you must arch your back.
  • Third, you must squat like you’re about to sit on a chair.

When my trainer told me this I had a hard time fixing my squatting stance or form but over time I started feeling better because my stance was better.

The first squat I did was the front squats. They are supposed to work on your quads and glutes, back squats, sumo squats, jump squats. Most of the squats worked on my legs. For the jump squat, I was supposed to jump as high as I can and I got really pushed by my trainer so that my legs felt like twigs.

After I worked out, my muscles were pumped up. This is a good thing to happen after a workout. It shows that my muscles have worked enough to where the muscle cells have been tearing and starting to build up the muscle.

Protein:

Make sure that you take protein after you workout within 30 minutes, because your muscles become like a sponge for being able to take a lot of protein so it is best to take protein right after you’re done with your workout. Then I went home and took my best nap I have ever had.

Football Practice at High School

Today I went to football practice after school and did some drills. The coach had all these drills to do and planned them out. Today is a short day at school so the football practice had to be short too.

The first drill to do are the sprints. This is where you are supposed to run as hard as I can through the 60 yards cones and walk back slowly to pace your heartbeat and on the second sprint I have to run as hard as I can to the cones and slowly walk back the twice as far than last time. So we meet up with the coach and say, “You guys will be doing sprints so be in your lines as fast you can.” Then we all dashed to our lines that we were supposed to be in and started the sprints.

As we finished the sprint I wasn’t actually tired, I thought we could have done more of the sprints and had less walking distance. And I thought of a drill where we have to sprint to the 60 yards cones and only walk half of the distance then we run again. And most of us were not tired so I ran for another one on my own.
