Death Of A Salesman

deathsalesman_arthurmillerDeath of a Salesman is a play written by Arthur Miller in 1949. This play is about a man named Willy and his sons Biff and Happy struggling to find work. Willy recently was fired from his traveling salesman job and tried many ways to kill himself, such as crashing his car multiple times and clogging the tailpipe.

Biff is trapped in his father’s work. Ever since he failed math in school, he couldn’t play football and receive a scholarship. He was the quarterback of the football team, but his grades in school messed him up, and now he lives like a slump. While trying to figure out a way to make money in his current state, his brother Happy wants Biff to join him on an adventure and become successful, but that takes huge risks. They want to travel the world and become successful businessmen. Will this happen? If you like this so far, I would advise you to pick up this play and read it, because it will entertain you.

I would rate this play a 10/10 because it never ceases to amaze me how well it was written. It leaves you speechless and so much to think about. I would recommend everyone to read this play. It’s one of a kind!

Pokemon VS Digimon

Many people can argue that Pokemon or Digimon is better. In reality, Pokemon had better ratings and Digimon ceased to exist. I love them both, and wish that Digimon could be back. Both of these games/tv shows had a similar idea about raising these animals into strong ones, and fight with them. They are both really fun to play/watch. Now I will compare these two.

Pokemon has had may movies and its own series. It started out in 1995 and is still active. The animated series came out in 1997 and is still currently running. It has over 900 episodes! The video games all start out as a new trainer who becomes a trainer, and has to become the best in order to will all his/her badges and beat the elite four. The game itself can now be on the 3 DS, and has been for Game Boy Advanced and the DS. Pokemon is such a fun game that my generation grew up watching and playing. After a while it can be addicting, but it’s extremely fun!

It’s a shame that Digimon didn’t last long. The series was from 1999- 2003. Sadly I wasn’t old enough to watch Cartoon Network at the time. Once I grew a little older, I watched the old episodes on YouTube, and it was amazing! I was sad to find out that Digimon couldn’t keep up with Pokemon, so the gave in. I honestly prefer Digimon, not because of its plot, but because that it’s a harder and more challenging game than Pokemon. I recommend everyone to play Digimon

Teen Wolf

I recommend Teen Wolf because it is one of the best TV shows out there. It has an amazing story plot line, and the graphics are beautiful. I definitely suggest everyone to watch this show on MTV.

The series is written by the amazing Jeff Davis (Criminal Minds) and his crew and involves Scott and Stiles (his nickname) in the supernatural world. Scott is bitten by a werewolf and must adapt to his new life and powers. Meanwhile, Stiles must help him to to control such powers. This helped Scott make it off of the bench of the lacrosse team and onto the field, not telling anyone about his abilities. Scott meets a girl named Allison and falls in love with her. They begin to date only to realize that Allison’s family are hunters that track down werewolves and kill them. I don’t want to spoil any more so it’s up to you guys to watch this series! There are five seasons so far with a sixth coming soon.

I would rate this show 10/10 (because I am extremely biased when it comes to TV shows). Check out Teen Wolf now and you won’t regret it.

Kimi Ni Todoki by Karuho Shiina

kiminitodoke_karuhoshiinaKimi Ni Todoki is a manga about a quiet, lonely girl, named Sawako who finds it difficult to make friends with, until she meets a boy named Kazehaya. He’s one of the most popular people at school and instantly makes a connection with her. He teaches her on how to be more friendly with others, but people feared and misunderstood her because of her appearance; rumors around school report that she can see ghosts and curse people.

Sawako later meets Yano and Yoshida, who become her best friends. She never dreamt of having friends, until she met Kazehaya. He showed to his fellow classmates that Sawako isn’t such a bad person. After Sawako made friends, her friendship with Kazehaya slowly developed into a romantic feeling. But what will be the result if someone else has her eyes on Kazehaya? Will Sawako and Kazehaya be together, or will something drive them apart from each other?

This is personally my favorite manga ever, so I would rank it 10/10. It’s worth reading! Go check it out.

Itazura na Kiss

itazura-na-kiss-1871Itazura Na Kiss is a manga, and later adapted into an anime, about an unlikely romance between two high school students. Spoilers to come!

Kotoko Aihara, a poor achieving high school student, falls in love with the genius Naoki Irie only to be flatly rejected and humiliated. Kotoko had fallen for Naoki since her first day of high school. When an earthquake strikes her house, she is forced to live with her father’s childhood friend. When Kotoko meets the family, she discovers that Irie is their son. How is she going to survive living under the same roof as Irie, especially being rejected?

Throughout the manga and anime, Irie develops feelings for Kotoko but life finds a way to intervene. They are both pulled away by other people in their lives, like Kotoko’s friend Ikezawa, who her ever since she started high school. There’s also Christine, a foreign exchange student who plans to marry Irie. Will they be drawn apart or will they settle down and get married?

Check out the anime and/or manga if you would like to know more about Itazura Na Kiss! I’ve spoiled enough. I would definitely recommend someone to check it out. This was my first anime that I’ve ever seen and probably one of my favorites! I would rate this series a 9/10.
